Kids Sunday Nights Meets every Sunday Night. Please join us each Sunday night from 4:30-6:00 pm if you are a "kid" age 3 through 4th grade. We find fun ways to learn about God through all different types of activities each and every Sunday night. Join us!

Children's Music: M3 or "Music & Movement with a Message" meets each Wednesday afternoon. Children ages 1st-4th graders will love choir and music mixed in a variety of activities that will encourage worship participation. Programming lasts from 3:30-5:30 pm. Joelle Norris leads the Children's Music Program on Wednesdays.

Rotation Sunday School in February: Lesson "John the Baptist"
Main Idea: Through the life of John the Baptist we will learn the importance of repentance and baptism.
Scripture: Mark 1:1-11 Memory Verse: John 1:29

February Leaders:
Art- Catherine Case will guide the children in making soap (washing away our sins) and baptism banners
Drama - Natalie Lynch to guide the children in reenacting the story
Games - Katie Mathews to play Bible Jeopardy with the kids
Movies - Jennifer Brunetz will show a movie about John the Baptist & discuss with the kids

Volunteer Opportunities for Rotation Sunday School:
Workshops for the next 3 months after this are posted! Volunteers are needed each month. Please take a minute to take a look at the schedules and see where you can lend a hand. If every family involved in Rotation Sunday school would volunteer to only serving one workshop this year we would have more than enough people to cover the entire year. Volunteers are the only way that we can make this program work, and it is one of the biggest assets that HUMC kids has going for it. Please consider serving this year in Rotation Sunday school. You don't have to have a child in the program to serve. Just sign up! We'd love to have you.

Safe Sanctuary Training & CPR Class:
On February 12th at 5:30 p.m. HUMC Children's Ministry will be offering a church wide Safe Sanctuary Training for anyone interested in volunteering in Children or Youth Ministry. As a reminder our policy states that anyone that wishes to volunteer in an event that places you in a supervisory position of individuals under the age of 18 must be trained in Safe Sanctuary and have a clear background check. This training will be offered to those who have never completed the training or anyone who might like a refresher course. Along with this training we will be offering a Friends and Family CPR Course. Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This will be instructed by Jamie Roberts. Each class will be conducted separately. Please feel free to come and stay for both, or choose which one you would like to attend. CPR will begin at 5:30 p.m. Safe Sanctuary will begin approximately at 6:00 p.m.

Preschool Movie Event:
Attention all Preschoolers (any child who has NOT yet started Kindergarten)! Join us on Saturday morning February 11th at 10:00 a.m. to view the not yet released, latest and greatest Veggie Tales Movie "Robin Good and His Not So Merry Men". Bring your Mom, Dad, Grandparent, or special person and a blanket to cuddle up on. We will pop popcorn, have special games and prizes throughout the movie, and have LOTS of stuff to take home to continue the learning. Pre-Registration is required.
Please email or text Kris Dorr by 2-8-12 if you are planning on attending. If a minimum attendance does not register this event will be post poned.

Don't Forget Shadrack!
Thank you for helping our sponsored child and for supporting our own children in learning that they were truly MADE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Don't forget to allow your child to earn this money. This way they get the satisfaction of knowing that they worked to help someone else out! Each week we must collect at least $9.50 to fund our commitment to Shadrack. Please don't forget your Shadrack money!

There are several items that Children's Ministry would like to purchase that would take money away from our regular budget. We would like to purchase these items from an outside source. If you are interested in donating money to this cause or heading up a fund raiser please see Kris Dorr.

Ash Wednesday Service- Will you need the Nursery?
There will be a church-wide Ash Wednesday Service on Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:00 p.m. If you are in need of childcare for your child under the age of 4 years old please let Kris Dorr know ASAP.
