Hernando UMC

You are invited to attend one of our worship services each Sunday morning. Both the 8:45 and the 10:55 a.m. services are traditional with organ and piano. The Lord’s Prayer, the Gloria Patri, the Doxology, responses from the Psalter or affirmations of our faith are regular parts of our services. Our messages are those that reflect John Wesley’s desire to minister to the practical areas of a person’s life. Our services seek to encourage us, uplift our spirits, and help us live more closely to our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Our Choir Director, Reese Norris, is well known in our area as the director of the Hernando Middle School Choral Department also. He wife, Joelle, is Choral Director at Olive Branch High School and is director of our children’s music. Both of their choirs have won numerous awards in state and local competition. In addition, Holly Beck is our Hand bell Choir Director and also is director of the choral department at Southaven High School. So your experience in our worship will be a blessing as we have such talented persons to lead us in our music department.

At the 10:55 a.m. service, we have a time for our children to come to the chancel area for a message tailored just for them. This is always a fun and sometimes unpredictable time! The children, ages four through first grade, afterwards go to “Prime Time,” our children’s church, which meets in our new Children/Youth Educational Building.

There is a place for you at Hernando United Methodist Church! You’ll find a warm and friendly church full of people of all ages and stages, who are devoted to one another and to Jesus Christ. Please visit us soon! And if you are a first-time visitor, please go by our Hospitality Desk in the entrance area after the service, as we have a gift and information for you.
